So unlike other places where you make an appointment due to Covid & social distancing, here you make an appointment and it’s pointless.

They made me make an appointment for a specific hour for to me to arrived and having a line from hell with people who just scanned the QR code and no social distancing what so ever.

Other places due to Covid I make an appointment and literally I’m the only one there at that time, not a line and my appointment was never at the time I made it for.

This place needs better management more social distancing guidelines and proper appointment scheduling.

There was a guy literally saying in Spanish that his grandfather just died of Covid and yet he’s standing in line. Said it was Saturday he passed & that he knows he can’t get sick. So he’s standing in line. Wow just blows my mind.

Tucked away (almost hidden) in Enterprise Center between Williams Floor Center and Direct Auto Insurance, but a bit hard to spot from the street because it is in the corner, and its signage is way too hard to see. Very small, very busy (@4pm) but very friendly and efficient.

I would have given 5 stars on the previous day, but today I took my son back for his permit and window # 6
(cashier : F0164LST) said something very rude and it's really bothering me. He's 15, shy and awkward, when doing things he's not use to. He really wanted to get his signature done correctly, but they don't teach cursive in school anymore, so I said just print your name. He insisted on taking his time to try his signature. He ended up getting it the way he kind of liked it. She asked him to sit on the blue chair for his picture, so he walked towards the one he saw to his left. She said no, the one directly behind you. So he sat down.
She mumbled, " he really should have a mental evaluation done." I asked her if she meant him and she covered herself, as best as she could, and said, "they all should have one." I'm very offended and it's really bothering me. I didn't want to make waves today, but I really felt I should let someone know how she speaks about people. THANKFULLY my son didn't hear her say this. Such an exciting day for a young driver, and then someone puts your child down.

I have been trying to get an appointment to get my driver's license. Nothing! It's horrible. They are booked out for 1 month and can't schedule. Need a driver's license to work but can't get one. This is ridiculous! If I lived in orange county I could have my license today.

Amazing service! I have had Jenn help me twice now and she is kind, caring and sweet. She goes above and beyond to help. My daughter had to take written test today, she was very nervous and jenn told her you got this! Thank you so much!

UPDATE:
Stephanie and her team more than rectified our previous experience. She and her team went above and beyond to get us rescheduled, and my son's permit in hand before we left.

What I witnessed in her office yesterday was complete professionalism from all employees, plus everyone seemed to be having a good time while working. That's the way it should be everywhere you go! You can tell that Stephanie runs a tight ship, very organized and most everyone seems to be enjoying what they do.

Needless to say, we left very happy! My son was smiling from ear to ear when she handed him his license! Thank you Stephanie and team from the bottom of our hearts for making this better! It won't be forgotten.

I will start by saying that I had a scheduled appointment for Thursday, 8/10 @ 1:20pm, for my son to get his learners permit. What was supposed to be a very exciting day for him and myself, changed very quickly while in the Orange City office.

We showed up before our scheduled time, like asked through a text, and we had ALL of our required paperwork. The woman up front couldn't seem to find our reservation that I made on July 27th, but she eventually did and was very nice about it.

We sat down and waited for our number to be called, which was fairly fast. Unfortunately, we were placed at window 14 with Tim. That is where our whole experience and day changed for the worse. I approached the window with a friendly hello and in return all I got was, "Noah?", from Tim. No eye contact, nothing. Ok, I can move past that. I had a folder with all of Noah's information ready to go. Tim checked it all, asked Noah a few questions and then proceeded to tell me he couldn't find Noah's online course completion in the system. Again, I had everything printed out, just in case something like this happened. Tim could not be bothered to look at any of it. His tone was extremely rude as he was trying to intimidate my 15 year old son by telling him he had to go "re-test" in a seperate room. My son went from being very excited to confused and nervous by the way Tim was speaking to us both.

I tried to inform, Lisa, the supervisor about our experience, and she seemed very unbothered. No apologies, didn't try to rectify the situation, just asked, "well what did he say"? It's not what he was saying, it's how he was saying it. I have never been treated so poorly by someone in customer service. Needless to say, we left empty handed and borderline in tears. Not to mention, I will now have to take more time off of work to go back up there and my son from school.

In Lisa's defense, she was probably caught off guard by me, but there is 100% no excuse for Tim's behavior! His attitude/personality ruined what should have been one of my sons' most exciting experiences so far in life. He has no business working in customer service, at all.

I am aware of the horror stories of the DMV, as I have been many times in my life, but this was beyond anything I have ever experienced.

100% do not recommend the Orange City office!
