Nobody does there job here then you gotta pay for the screw ups they do !! Wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone needing help in an emergency all they do is talk to each other and eat snacks all morning and all afternoon !! It’s a joke only America you would think they were paying you out of there personal pocket

The worse center I’ve ever been they mess up your case they make you bring papers and still replace them and also even if you send it thru the HRA document upload app they still claim there is nothing and last but not least they are EXTREMELY RUDE they will get nasty with their mouths and when you are getting upset and give them the same treatment they will call security for no reason I wish i can change my center but sadly can’t they don’t like to work with you and deal with your case and they make you wait months and even after that they will lie and say sorry but it’s not the right document and send you right back home even if it was something they asked for !

Waited over an hour and a half just to be told to go to another food stamp office because they can’t provide me with any information on my case. The lady didn’t even try to help me, just straight attitude. No wonder ppl go off on them.

This was my first time applying to anything like this before I’m 20 years old and just moved to nyc and don’t know anyone with barely any money so I was pretty nervous walking in but the staff are very helpful and polite as long as you are polite with them. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions they were very nice to me it made my experience a lot less nerve racking!! Ps the new location is on 126th st and 3rd ave it says it’s for the Bronx online but don’t worry it’s in manhattan.

I feel like you have 1 job !!! Meaning you decide what you wanna do and be when you applied to assist people with government help. That being said i question why almost every worker has an "Attitude" when you ask for some type of assistance? Isn't it your job? On top of that no one ever answers the phone when you call , you get there to be given the run around because the workers are NEVER on the same page . I just feel like as a business that's supposed to be helpful to those in need of help doesn't correctly fulfill there job duties. If i could have given it 0 stars i would because its a shame how people get treated in the office's when families are in need of help .

They suck. Always messing the case up. Taking forever to approve anything. Esp when they know ur on a timer like getting rental assistance or moving help. Dont matter how long ur there they open at 830a but don't start calling til 10a. Minimum time spent there 1 hour. Max 5-8hrs. It's just crazy!

Once you get to be seen they are very helpful, but there is a catch. You have to go to the center and if you arrive on time when they open or later you will wait for an extremely long time. And they never answer the phones ever for a simple question that could be answered in under a minute. So if you need that simple answer that would take a modicum of effort to be answered you will have to get up early and be there an hour before they open and wait 30 minutes for the answer. Or arrive on time or later and wait at least 4 hours for your one minute answer. So they really should just remove any phone service numbers to the public and create a pdf explaining that people should plan on taking the day off from work if they are employed, bring a book or hobby to occupy their time, allow people to charge their cell phones and devices and provide free wifi for those who wish to surf the net while passing by the majority of the day. And having secretaries who actually answer the public lines would be a nice solution on top of it all. But otherwise everything is just fine. :p

This office doesn't pick up the phones and if they do happen to pick up the phone the people are very nasty to you and have disgusting attitudes. I say if you don't like your job then go find a new one and don't give the people that need your help a hard time. I called cause I had a few questions and the lady that picked up my call was extremely nasty didn't let me talk and practically rushed me off the phone without answering any of my questions.
