I came to Fo Guang Shan Chung Mei Temple 佛光山中美寺 was because my neighbor recommended. This is a beautiful place to visit. It has a Sunday service with monks and prayers spoken in Chinese Mandarin.

I got a chance to try vegetarian food at Teahouse. Prices were reasonable and food was delicious. Because most of vegetation was damaged from a recent arctic blast. The garden was not as green as I wanted. So, I’ll be back this summer.

Serene place to enjoy nature and zone out. I have tooo many thoughts in my head to fully meditate properly, but being here and seeing the little monk statue in green reminded me to snap out of my negativity.

I came here for the first time, there is a small library and a tea house( with some vegetarian meals) inside the main building. Enjoyed the time here.

Everything feels so natural here. The wooden furnitures, the stones, the flowers, the pond, the bird chimming, ... everything is so harmonized and serene. Even the loudest mind can become tranquil by the good positive energy here. There is a big bell in front of the main entrance for people to strike for prayer. People are welcome to receive blessed water in the main hall. There is a Dharma words box on the left side of the main hall enter where you can pick up randomly Dharma words, which is very meaninful to me. There is also free small books of Buddist teaching on the right when you first enter the temple. The books come in 3 languages: Chinese, English and Vietnamese. They also have many spiritual and volunteer activities taking place regularly
