Francis Wilson wanted a shaft making. He didn't know exactly what he wanted, didn't have a drawing, didn't have a sample. He didn't come back with proper instructions or any dimensions. He expected a shaft to be made by mind readers. Gear Service Stockport Ltd. employ highly skilled engineering machinists, NOT mind readers. He phoned back 11 days later expecting the phantom shaft to be ready as if by magic. Francis Wilson is a numpty.

Quite a few years ago I wanted an output shaft shortening, Lotus Elan 5-speed gearbox , and they did the job a treat...complained about the hardness,how it had nearly wrecked their machine...but did a lovely job.

Worst place I have dealt with in a long time. I was told they could make a spline shaft. When I went there, Mike the foreman said again that they could do the job. After 11 days I phoned to ask was it done, only to be told that they don't do spline shafts. They blamed a man that they had sacked, saying he gave me false information., But that didn't seem right to me especially after the foreman said they could do it. The least they could have done was to phone me instead of wasting my time
