The program itself is good and easy to navigate however their customer service is awful and it would prevent me from using Penn Foster again. Calling on the phone you get a different answer from everyone you talk to and some are not friendly. Talked to a Nico today and he was so rude and interrupted me and hung up without even saying good bye or have a nice day or anything. Glad my daughter has graduated now and we don’t have to speak to anyone there again.

I had wrestled with how many stars to give. I signed up for the Travel Agent Training. The information online was good and moved quickly. It said in the description the course would take 8 months. The course was self-paced and all reading. I would have preferred to have some video lectures or Zoom type lectures. But that is my preferred learning style. I was able to complete all the modules in less than 3 weeks. Where the problem is, is the communication with the school. I had questions, and there are no instructors to reach out to. I tried and was sent from one department to another. Every person would say "you are contacting the wrong department." I never received answers to my questions. When it came time to take my finial exam, which is the TAP exam, I needed to find my own proctor and have them fill out information. Which I did. But then I had to wait 30 days to take my finial.
I completed and returned via registered mail. Tracking shows it was delivered on 7/5/2024. Per the instructions in the course, I was told to send an email with the date I completed the test and when I mailed it in. Which I did. 3-4 days later I received an email back, again telling me it was the wrong department. I even sent them a screen shot showing how the instructions said to send to this email. I re-emailed to the "correct" department. The information I got was grades are only posted once a month at the end of the month. We are into August; I do not know what my score of my TAP exam was. I do not know what my finial grade in my class was. I do not have any certificates showing I completed the class. I have emailed twice since 7/29/2024 and still have not received any replies.
Overall, the information in the course has been very helpful, the communication and replies are worthless.

Complete scam. This school is not what what it used to be! The fees that are added on are ridiculous to where your payments don't even go towards your balance. They won't send your certificates so you can go get a job after you complete the course. The communication is awful and you are put on hold for hours then no one answers the phone! You all need to be shut down and refund all the students money! They said they would accept my credits from my other college and that didn't happen either. Horrible reports on the BBB website with students all saying the same thing! With how the world is right now this is NOT what people need, especially those who are trying to better their future in this messed up country!

I've been a college student here for the last 3 and a half years and everything has been great with the exception of the last few months with communication between myself and the school. Starting around July 2024 the wait times for the student support line has been an hour to an hour and a half. Many times I have had to hang up just out of frustration. When I did reach someone via the chat option I was told that the school was closing down the Pennsylvania offices and transitioning to Arizona. That was the reason for the high call wait times. So far, three months later, still on hold for an hour to an hour and a half! Additionally, when I have reached out to an instructor via email I have received no reply. I have put in two tickets for a supervisor call back and received no reply. What's going on Penn Foster? Why the downhill slide in the last three months? Penn Foster you need to do better. Fix your call center. Hire additional employees to staff the call center. Make it mandatory that instructors respond to any correspondence with a student within 2 business days. If instructors are overwhelmed with student correspondence then hire additional staff. Future students be warned. Maybe this is a hiccup they are experiencing but a hiccup that definitely needs to be addressed!

If you are looking to enroll in the vet assistant or vet technician program at this school, DO NOT. The learning material is the not the problem. The school itself is. Any type of communication is a nightmare. If you call them, expect to be on hold for at least an hour or two every time. If you send them an email, expect over 4-5 business days for a response. There is a complete lack of care for the students and their concerns. After 2 years of being in this program and trying to get my concerns address many times, I was finally able to get in contact with a supervisor today who took me seriously. I wish I could remember her name, but I don’t. My questions and concerns should’ve been taken seriously from the start. Additionally, there are limited times for EVERYTHING - instructor meetings , webinars, phone calls, etc. If you are a full-time worker, like myself, this is not the school for you. If you are considering this program, let this be your warning.
